Corman, Benninghoff Announce New State Funding for Bellefonte Works
4/26/2022
HARRISBURG – An important revitalization project at The Bellefonte Works will move forward thanks to a state grant announced by Senator Jake Corman (R-Bellefonte) and Representative Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) today.
The funding will finance several systems upgrades, including HVAC, electrical and envelope systems. The project will also include energy efficiency upgrades, finishes and exterior improvements.
When completed, the project is expected to feature office and industrial space for a wide variety of tenants and contribute to the ongoing revitalization and beautification initiatives along Spring Creek.
“We have made a great deal of progress recently in revitalizing key properties throughout the region and breathing new life into the area,” Corman said. “This project is a continuation of the ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life throughout the region.”
"The return on taxpayer resources for the benefit of our community means this important improvement and revitalization project can move forward,” Benninghoff said. “I am proud to see the continued state investment in our area and look forward to the completion of the project and the continued beautification along Spring Creek."
The grant was awarded through the state’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program, which provides funding for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.
