Benninghoff Applauds Funding to Pave Centre County Road

January 9, 2026

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) is praising the awarding of a more than $435,000 grant that will make much-needed improvements to Decker Valley Road in Centre County.

“I was more than happy to work with the Potter Township Board of Supervisors in applying for and endorsing the need for this project,” Benninghoff said. “Decker Valley Road consists of dirt and gravel, and paving it will reduce maintenance costs, improve safety and provide better access to local businesses and Poe Valley State Park.”

Funding was awarded under Pennsylvania’s Multimodal Grant program, which is administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development. Multimodal funds may be used for the development, rehabilitation and enhancement of transportation assets to existing communities, streetscape, lighting, sidewalk enhancement, pedestrian safety, connectivity of transportation assets and transit-oriented development.

Questions about this or any legislative issue should be directed to Benninghoff’s Bellefonte district office at 814-355-1300 or his Reedsville office at 717-667-1175.
