Benninghoff Bill Taking a Stand for Rape Victims and Their Families Clears General Assembly, Heads to Gov. Wolf

HARRISBURG – Today, the Pennsylvania Senate unanimously House Bill 1984, legislation led by House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) that stands up for rape victims and their families by removing the requirement of having an adoptive family lined up in order to terminate the rights of a perpetrator of rape or sexual assault that resulted in the birth of a child.

HARRISBURG – Today, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court sided with the Wolf administration and the Pennsylvania Democratic Party in allowing for ballots to be counted that are received up to three days following the election day deadline, for satellite election office locations and the use of drop boxes.

House Majority Leader Benninghoff Urges PIAA to Stay the Course, Make Independent Stand from Wolf’s ‘Recommendation’

HARRISBURG – House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) sent a letter to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) urging the body to make an independent stand from Gov. Tom Wolf’s “strong recommendation” that interscholastic sports do not resume until January 2021 and stay the course with allowing fall sports to safely continue as previously planned.
