Benninghoff’s New Bellefonte District Office Open for Business
A little more than one month after a fire caused Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) to close his Bellefonte district office, the lawmaker today announced he has re-opened the office at a new location just a few blocks away from the former site.
“We are at the new office site and ready to help constituents with their needs,” Benninghoff said. “I encourage people to stop in for help with state government-related issues or drop by just to check out our new space.”
Benninghoff’s new district office is located at 140 West High St., across the street from Cool Beans Coffee & Tea. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Benninghoff and his staff can be reached by telephone at the office by calling 814-355-1300.
A few days before Christmas, the building that housed Benninghoff’s former district office at 209 South Allegheny St. suffered a fire, causing the lawmaker to abandon that site and temporarily operate out of the Bellefonte Borough Council chambers.
“After the fire, we were back up and running for the most part within 24 hours,” Benninghoff said. “We are very grateful to the local fire personnel for their help after the fire. We also appreciate the graciousness of the Bellefonte Borough Council for allowing us to temporarily operate out of its chambers. This entire episode has reminded me of how good and decent people really can be.”
Benninghoff and his staff are available to help constituents with state government programs and services.
